Designer Profile: Louise Gray. She's everything, bold, bright and beautiful -but definitely not grey!

If you are an enormous Topshop fan like me, then  I'm sure you've noticed the media going mad over  new fashion designer Louise Gray. Who recently  launched  her clothing range and make-up collaboration for the  London Flagship high-street store on August 22, 2012. All I can say is... get ready to DAZZLE.

Born in Fraserburgh, Scotland, Louise studied at The Glasgow School of Art in textile design and Central Saint Martins, where she completed her MA Design collaborations, which include, USA, Judy Blame, Nicolas Kirkwood, the Smiley Company and Crown Paint. Louise is also sponsored by the Centre for her Fashion Enterprise. She is now known as "one of the most vibrant and innovative designers to grace the London Fashion scene."

Both collections reflect Gray's signature quirky and outlandish style. Along with her love for vibrancy, colour and texture - she's everything bold, bright and beautiful - but definitely not grey!

The six-piece collection showcases party dresses and separates in clean-cut simple shapes to be contrasted with abstract colour combinations  and teamed with oh so many sequins. It's absolutely to die for, as well as a little barking. 

The collection was first sponsored through NEWGEN a few years back. Gray says "It was great to create this collection with them.The dresses and tops are all totally covered in sequins, as I made them to go dancing in."

My personal favourites are; a striped lilac shift dress, paired with a star-shaped face, a pair of black, sequin trousers head-to-toe in multi-coloured smiley faces and a sparkly red collarless evening jacket, dotted with yellow and silver. Not a shade of grey in sight.

Grays, London Fashion week inspired make-up collection comprises  palettes of vivid hues, in-your-face neons and pots of glamorous, shimmering, sparkles, to coincide nicely with her clothing collection.   I can't wait to see  the gorgeous,  playful ensemble in the flesh.
